Mahsa’s dance story
I am an 18 year old ballet student living in San Francisco, California. I have been enrolled in a ballet school ever since I was 3 years old. A lot of people start and quit ballet multiple times, but I have never stopped in my life. Basically, I have never lived without ballet. I remember when I was in 6th grade and I went to the San Francisco Ballet’s production of “Copelia” with Vanessa Zahorian as the lead role. That was the night I decided that I was meant to be a ballerina. As of now, I dance 15+ hours a week and still never get tired of it. My weakness would probably be that ballet is the only form of dance I have ever done, but honestly, I wouldn’t want it any other way. My strength would be my dedication. Next year, as I go to college, I am leaving a huge part of my life behind. I am looking for ballet schools within the area of my university because I know that without ballet, I could never be happy.
